If you're looking for something to do in Atlanta on a Friday night, you won't have to look very long. The bars, clubs, theaters and restaurants throughout the city are alive all night with an ever-changing series of events, exhibitions and more. Outside of the nightlife covered on ajc.com, recurring events also are worth checking out. Here are three of the city's favorite Friday events:

Friday Jazz at the High

The High Museum of Art, the leading art museum in the South, offers visitors the chance to take in a combination of permanent collection works and rotating exhibits from some of the world's most famous artists and historical figures. The High's most popular monthly event, Jazz Fridays, takes place on the third Friday of each month. The evening of art and music features a local jazz band playing in the atrium, and the museum remains open later into the evening. The event is free with purchase of a standard museum ticket.
