Memorial Day weekend has come again, and along with honoring Atlanta's veterans and active and retired military, folks around the metro will be searching for engaging ways to spend the three-day weekend.

Here's what's happening in DeKalb:

Contra Dance at the Decatur Recreation Center

7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday, May 25, Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore St., Decatur, www.contradance.org, $10 person ($5 with student ID)

Come on down to an old-fashioned community dance on Friday. You'll find out how to Contra Dance to live music and have a blast, courtesy of Chattahoochee Contra Dancers.

Decatur Arts Festival
