School may be back in session in Cobb County, but that doesn't mean fun summer activities have to come to an end.

The city of Smyrna will host a family-friendly fireworks show to commemorate the founding of the city and rebirth of the downtown area.

This year marks the 144th year since Smyrna was created and the 25th anniversary of downtown Smyrna's rebirth, according to the city.

Bring your family and some chairs and enjoy the show this weekend.
