Prepare for pumpkins adorned with pink ribbons, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Check out these Atlanta events to learn more about Breast Cancer and help fund a cure:

Breast Cancer Banquet 

Atlanta-based charity Pink Peaches, Inc. holds its 3rd annual Breast Cancer Banquet honoring breast cancer survivors on Sat., Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. The fundraiser includes special speakers, a buffet dinner, music and door prizes. General admission costs $40. Tickets available here.

Party for a Cause 

The Tongue & Groove nightclub donates all of the ticket proceeds from its Party for a Cause event to Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta. Attendees should wear pink and expect a one-of-a-kind fundraiser with musical guests DJ Danny M. Party and DJ Black Amigo. Party starts at 6 p.m. on Oct. 12. Tickets cost $10 and are available here.

Susan G. Komen 3-Day 

Susan G. Komen kicks-off its three-day Atlanta fundraising event with an opening ceremony at Stone Mountain at 7 a.m. on Oct. 13. The 60-mile walk journeys through classic Atlanta neighborhoods over three days, stopping to make camp at the Georgia World Congress Center each night and culminating in a closing ceremony on Oct. 15. Kicking Out Breast Cancer 

5 Star Sports League hosts a kickball tournament for both co-ed and female teams at Franklin Gateway Sports Complex at noon on Oct. 14; a portion of all registration fees will benefit Susan G. Komen. Co-ed teams of 10 to 12 people and female teams of eigt to 10 will face off for trophies, cash prizes and a celebration party at Dave & Busters. Team and individual registration open here.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 

Since 1993, the American Cancer Society's many different Making Strides charity walks have raised more than 810 million dollars for Breast Cancer research. This year's 9.6-mile Atlanta fundraiser starts at Suntrust Park at 10 a.m. The event is focused on community and not speed; participants are encouraged to walk at their own pace. Register here.

Breastival Breast Cancer Screening and Educational Event 

Breastival focuses on the awareness part of the month. Emory Healthcare offers free breast cancer screening alongside fun games and activities designed to test your knowledge of breast cancer screening, prevention and treatment. The free event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 21 in the Glenn Building lobby.

Pillars of Strength Breast Cancer Awareness Event 

The downstairs area of the Northlake Mall transforms into a Pink Village from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 21. Attendees can walk through a health expo, grab cool swag bags or play in an interactive kid zone.
