ROSWELL

Barbecue and Bluegrass

More than a hundred years ago, the original owners of Barrington Hall held an annual Fourth of July barbecue for neighbors and friends. Roswell has revived the tradition with its Barbecue and Bluegrass celebration, held in the same location in the mansion’s backyard. Plenty of smoked and grilled favorites, desserts and beverages will be on sale from the Mill Kitchen, and music will be provided by the Smokerise Bluegrass Band. The event will end in plenty of time for diners to lick the last bit of sauce off their fingers and catch Roswell’s fireworks extravaganza at Sweet Apple Elementary, 12025 Etris Road, just 4 miles north of Barrington Hall. The display begins at dark.

11 a.m.-5 p.m. July 4. Free admission. Barrington Hall, 535 Barrington Drive, Roswell. 770-640-3855, roswellgov.com.
