GAINESVILLE

INK birthday celebration

The Interactive Neighborhood for Kids is having a birthday. For 14 years, INK has been encouraging youngsters to imagine, create and learn through its interactive exhibits. When you arrive, let the kids loose so they can discover the full-sized vintage aircraft, X-rays, films, magic talking coins and Buddy, the 60-foot-tall boy. The celebration also allows children to contribute to the exhibits in their own way by making birthday cards that will hang throughout the museum. The party costs $1 in addition to the $8 admission.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 2-4. $9 ($1 plus the $8 cost of admission). INK Museum, 999 Chestnut St., Gainesville. 770-536-1900, inkfun.org.
