Whether you’re a math expert or not, Battle and Brew in Sandy Springs wants to bring out your inner geek with a celebration of pi’s edible homonym. The chefs there will celebrate Pi Day with a variety of pies, from chicken pot to fruit. The event also marks the reopening of the restaurant, bar and all-round gamer haven, which moved from its former location in Marietta. The new space offers patrons a choice between console and PC games and the chance to take part in regular tournaments and events.

St. Patrick’s Day Festival
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, which for many means a work night with a lot less imbibing of green beer. But, fear not, Smyrna has you covered by starting the party early. Atkins Park Smyrna and Zucca Pizzeria will hold an all-day event the Saturday before the Irish holiday. The fun starts at noon with live music, cornhole and plenty of alcoholic refreshments. At 5:30 p.m., Smyrna Mayor Max Bacon will dye the city’s fountain green to get the evening into full swing. If you’re up for more fun, the celebration will continue on the actual St. Patrick’s Day with food and live music.

Blind Boys of Alabama
The Coweta Centre for Performing and Visual Arts welcomes to town the Blind Boys of Alabama, a five-time Grammy Award-winning octet that features four blind singers and has released scores of albums. Though they find their inspiration in singing gospel music, they also prove that disabilities don’t have to mask talent. The group is expected to perform for a full house, so buy tickets quickly online before they’re gone.
