Brunch With the Bunny

With Easter just around the corner, Milton’s Cuisine and Cocktails wants to get everyone in the seasonal mood with an afternoon of family fun. In partnership with the Crabapple Community Association and Blencoe & Co. Photography, the eatery kicks off a 10 a.m. Sunday brunch that includes a chance to get up close and personal with the Easter Bunny. Blencoe photographers will be on hand to snap commemorative pictures. At 1 p.m., toddlers and tykes are invited to scavenge for eggs during a traditional hunt. Participants must register on Blencoe & Co.’s website before the event. A family photo and the hunt are $35; brunch is a la carte from the restaurant’s regular menu.

“The Allure of the Figure”

R Alexander Fine Art invites the public to contemplate what artists have studied for years. “The Allure of the Figure” displays a selection of works by American and international artists that focuses on the different ways the human figure is portrayed in art. Contributions from artists such as Jose Borrell, Page Bradley and Javier Arizabalo show the human body in a variety of poses and media, including paint and sculpture. The show continues through April 13, and admission to the gallery is free.

Movie Mondays: “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”

The Norcross Cultural and Community Center offers two free screenings of “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale” March 23. The 2009 film starring Richard Gere centers on the remarkable story of a dog’s love for his owner. It’s based on the true story of an Akita named Hachikō, who became a national sensation in Japan by waiting for his owner each day at the train station, even long after the owner’s death. Better bring along a few tissues.
