MARIETTA

Art Walk

On the first Friday of each month, shops, restaurants and galleries on and around Marietta Square stay open late as part of the Art Walk celebration. Visitors are invited to enjoy a meal or bring a picnic, then enjoy browsing and strolling until the sun goes down. The heart of the party is on the streets, where painters, musicians, photographers and dramatic performers take up residence along the sidewalks to showcase their talents. Pick up a map of all the activities and a beer garden coupon from the welcome table in front of Church Street Market. Parking is free around the square.

5-9 p.m. June 5. Free. Marietta Square, 205 Lawrence St., Marietta. 770-429-1115, artwalkmarietta.com.

LILBURN

Rock the Park

If you missed seeing the Beatles on “The Ed Sullivan Show” or live at Atlanta Stadium 50 years ago — or if your kids aren’t sure what all the fuss is about — pack everyone into the car and head over to downtown Lilburn. The city is remembering those milestone performances during its Rock the Park party June 5 with performances by the Return. This Beatles tribute band channels the spirit of the Fab Four while playing a variety of songs from their classic catalog. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, put on those dancin’ shoes, and get ready to rock. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

7:30-9:30 p.m. June 5. Free. Lilburn City Park, 76 Main St., Lilburn. 770-921-2210, cityoflilburn.com.
