Woodworking Show

Bring out your inner Bob Vila at the Woodworking Show at the North Atlanta Trade Center. For three days, a host of experts will lead seminars on a wide range of woodworking topics, including: Getting the Most From Your Miter Saw; Biscuit or Domino, Which Is Right for You; and Superior Projects, Inferior Wood. A number of booths will showcase tools from brands such as Bosch, Kreg and Dremel. It’s enough to make even Ron Swanson giddy! Some classes require registration, so be sure to check online.

Once Upon a Time

The budding thespians and playwrights at Kennesaw State University are staging the sixth annual Ten Minute Play Festival, an event that showcases performances and plays created by students. This year’s theme, Once Upon a Time, includes works based on fairy tales, with a splash of wicked humor and a dash of darkness. Each play was written by the students and directed by students, faculty or alumni. The performances may not be suitable for children younger than 16.

Big Psychic Fair

Wonder what the future holds? Find out by visiting the Harmony Place Spiritual Center’s Big Psychic Fair. Psychics and clairvoyants will be on hand to gaze into the unknown and share their insights of what might be in store for your life, relationships and career. Even if you prefer your destiny to remain a secret, there will be other activities, including massage therapy, henna artists, crystal healing and aromatherapy. The fair takes place during the first weekend of each month.
