CUMMING

Taste of Forsyth

Before your Easter feast, treat your taste buds to the best bites in Forsyth. More than 25 restaurants, including Williamsons Brothers Barbecue, Tin Drum and Brusters, are participating this year, and samples can be purchased for $1 to $4 each. The kids can track down their own treats during the Easter egg hunt happening throughout the day. Separated into three separate sessions, the hunt allows children of all age groups a chance to find one of the 25,000 eggs. The fun doesn’t stop there; the Touch-a-Truck portion of the day features heavy-duty vehicles that kids can climb on and explore.

11 a.m.-5 p.m. March 26. Free. Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road, Cumming. 770-781-3491, cummingfair.net.

EAST COBB

Community egg drop

If regular egg hunts have become “egg-cruciatingly” bland, then here’s a way to raise the bar high enough so only the sky is the limit. The seventh annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop takes place at Sprayberry High School, but don’t start looking for eggs on the ground. At 1:30 p.m., a helicopter will fly over the football field and release about 50,000 eggs containing about 100,000 pieces of candy. Kids younger than 10 will then be let loose to find the best ones. Along with the egg drop, look for a kids fun zone, photos with the Easter Bunny and live entertainment.

11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 26. Free; $7 for unlimited rides in the kids zone. 2525 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta. 770-423-1330, communityeggdrop.com.
