BUFORD
Buford Corn Maze
Find fall fun by getting a little lost this weekend. The Buford Corn Maze offers 5 acres of twists and turns to explore with the whole family. The maze, now in its eighth year, isn’t the only attraction; you can hop a ride on a pony or a hay-filled wagon, check out the farm animals and listen to live music. A new addition this year is the popcorn jumping pillow, a giant, inflatable bouncing experience. If you’re brave enough, consider a ticket to the Haunted Forest and wind your way through a few thrills and chills. Or play it safe and follow the “chicken route” through the trees.
10 a.m.-midnight, Oct. 28 and 29; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Oct. 30. $15 for maze or forest; $25 for both. 4470 Bennett Road, Buford. 678-835-7198, bufordcornmaze.com.
POWDER SPRINGS
Haunted Springs
Send a few shivers down your spine with a visit to Powder Springs this weekend, when this small Southern town will get a little spookier at night. Sign on for a Haunted Springs tour, starting at the town square, where you’ll learn a bit of Powder Springs history and hear creepy accounts of what hauntings have happened in the area. Most tours last 90 minutes, but be sure to plan for two hours just in case there’s any extra spirit interaction.
8 and 10:30 p.m. Oct. 28-30. $18; $10 for kids ages 5 to 12. Powder Springs Town Square, Marietta Street and Pineview Drive, Powder Springs. 678-429-7157, blendinga.com.
