‘Lunch Can Be Murder’
If you long ago exhausted your supply of Agatha Christie, Sue Grafton and Patricia Cornwell novels; listened to every possible true crime podcast; and watched each "Making a Murderer" episode endless times, then the Sisters in Crime is the group for you. The Atlanta chapter of the international organization holds its regular meetings on the second Saturday of each month, but on Feb. 18, it is hosting a lunch to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Emmy Award-winning reporter and author Hank Phillippi Ryan will speak during a three-course lunch. Afterward, pick up a raffle ticket and meet local crime and mystery authors who will showcase their novels.
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 18. $19. Brawner Hall, 3180 Atlanta Road, Smyrna. 678-631-5545, sincatlanta.com.
