Kids’ activities are part of the holiday kick-off celebration in Kennesaw this weekend.

3 Fun Things: Dec. 1-3

Point of View Exhibition

Have you ever wanted to see through someone else’s eyes? View different parts of the world from the perspective of those who have been there? At the R Alexander Fine Art “Point of View” Group Exhibit, you can do just that. See the seasons change in Europe through the work of Miguel Peidro. Step into cities around the world through the first-person views of Rosana Sitcha. Travel from the vineyards of Italy to the deserts of the American southwest with Mario Jung’s paintings. All these artists and more will be on display for just one more weekend.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 1-2. Free. R Alexander Fine Art Gallery, 5650 Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree Corners. 770-609-8662,

Santa Parade

Santa Claus is coming to town! One specific town that is. The city of Kennesaw celebrates by throwing a Santa parade complete with marching bands, decorated floats, classic cars and plenty of costumed characters. Beginning at Park Drive and Main Street, the route proceeds south past Cherokee Street toward Cemetery Street. Once the parade is over, the fun will continue at Depot Park. Let the kids loose in the snow playground or let them make their own artworks in the kids’ craft corner. Browse the holiday market for gifts or grab a bite from the on-site food vendors. And of course, sneak a peek at the Head Elf himself before he heads back to the North Pole to prepare for the main event.

Noon-6 p.m. Dec. 2. Free. Downtown Kennesaw, 2250 Lewis St., Kennesaw. 770-422-9714,

Gateway Classic Cars Holiday Party

Combine your love for cool cars with the spirit of the season as Gateway Classic Cars kicks off its holiday event. Admission is one unwrapped toy that will be donated to Toys for Tots. Apparently, Santa drives something other than a sleigh, and if you look hard enough, you might find him behind the wheel of a vintage automobile. Lunch will be served between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

10 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 2. Admission is an unwrapped toy. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta, 1870 McFarland Parkway, Alpharetta. 678-894-4833,
