A Marietta-based restaurant is looking outside of Georgia for culinary inspiration.

Common Quarter  hosts six monthly tastings that feature dishes from different regional areas of the country as part of their "Road Trip Across America" series.

The series features dishes from the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, West Coast and Southeast regions of the country.

“This is for somebody that wants to try something different, learn a little more of different cuisines and try new cocktails,” Lindsay Ferdinand, Common Quarter’s beverage director, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Tastings are $50 each (plus tax and gratuity) and include 4-5 beverages and courses, according to the restaurant.

Guests should expect a warm atmosphere, with executive chef Jeffrey Gardner and Ferdinand explaining the cuisine and paired beverages on the restaurant patio.

“We want to genuinely show we have an interest in getting to know people,” Ferdinand said. “Being a part of East Cobb community, getting to know people is what we’re all about.”

In a recent poll, Common Quarter's "Look West" burger was the runner-up for the best burger in Atlanta.
