Beer buffs, rejoice.

Cobb County's craft breweries and brewpubs got the green light Tuesday to make bank — at prices based on beer type — from brewery tours, and to use social media to promote those events and advertise craft pilsners, lagers and hops.

The new deal reached between the craft beer and liquor industries and the state's wholesalers this week will end a contentious battle over how these small businesses operate. You can read more about the legislation and proposed changes here.

A timeline for the new regulations has not yet been announced, but the deal means a potential surge in brew-centered events across metro Atlanta.
