Take in a few classic films this weekend at the Marietta Classic Film Festival taking place at Marietta High School in the Marietta Performing Arts Center. You'll get a chance to see great films like Gone With the Wind, American Graffiti and To Kill a Mockingbird, along with a dance contests, autograph opportunities, interviews from some of the stars, live music and more.

Who knew that you could enjoy a beer garden and running at the same time. If you love beer and a good road race, Red Hare has you covered with the Red Hare 5K happening on Saturday. Participants will receive a commemorative pint glass to remember the event, and racers will get to enjoy beer tasting, live music and food at the finish line.

North Georgia State Fair. 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 through 25. $7 per person, free for children ages 10 and under. As one of the most celebrated festivals in Georgia, the 84th Annual North Georgia State Fair will fill Jim Miller Park this weekend. This family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, carnival rides, music, fair food, blue ribbon competitions, exotic animals and more. With an estimated 300,000 people in attendance every year, you might want to arrive a little early to find parking.
