Celebrate great literature and up-and-coming authors by joining the rest of the city at the AJC Decatur Book Festival going on this weekend. Known as the "largest independent book festival in the country," you'll get a chance to have books signed by the authors, enjoy panel discussions, listen to live music, watch parades, take part in writing workshops, hear live poetry slams and more.

A key event at the AJC Decatur independent book festival, this is a very rare chance for the reluctant readers who love Dav Pilkey's Captain Underpants books to catch the author in person. They'll also have photo ops with Captain Underpants and Dog Man.

Spend Labor Day getting fit and helping support Cystic Fibrosis this year by taking part in the Big Peach Sizzler 10K. This Peachtree Road Race qualifier also hosts a massive post-race party at the finish line that includes music, food and nifty gifties for participants.
