Honor veterans this Friday by joining the rest of your community at the Veterans Day Parade in Marietta. It all starts at the Roswell Street Baptist Church and travels down Roswell Street towards the Historic Marietta Square. The 4th Reconnaissance Battalion Color Guard will accompany the parade, along with the United States Marine Corps and the Cobb County Sheriff's Department, who will perform a 21-Gun Salute and "Taps."

If you follow a vegetarian diet or know someone who does, make sure to check out the 2016 Atlanta Veg Fest taking place at the Cobb County Civic Center this Saturday. Along with live presentations and guest speakers, visitors can see round table discussions, take part in interactive workshops and shop from a vegan-friendly marketplace. Plus, the first 300 visitors will get a stocked goodie bag.

The Cherokee Heights neighborhood will host their annual arts festival this Saturday, which will include live music, face painting, an artisans marketplace, artist demonstrations and kids activities. As a local favorite, this event celebrates local artists, 30 of which live right in Cherokee Heights. Stock up on holiday gifts at the marketplace, featuring paintings, homemade soaps, pottery, wood turnings, bird houses, jewelry, original books and more.
