Check out 3 vintage sales events where everything old is back in vogue

If it’s old, it’s gold at three upcoming vintage sales.

First up is Salvage, to be held Saturday at Ambient Plus Studio south of downtown Atlanta. And right behind it this fall are the Revival, Sept. 27-28 outside Decatur High School in Decatur; and the Country Living Fair, Oct. 24-26 at Stone Mountain Park.

Here’s a quick look at what those with a lust for rust will find:

• Orchestrated by the Atlanta outfit Indie Craft Experience, Salvage is billed as "a modern vintage marketplace" and features jewelry, clothing, furniture, collectibles and home goods, some repurposed with a crafty hand, from more than 40 Atlanta and Southeastern vendors.

Curating the show “gives us a chance to celebrate the best parts of the past,” Indie Craft co-founder Christy Petterson said. “Salvage takes the hard part out of thrifting — we’ve done the digging for you.”

DJ Zano will crank the tunes, there will be a photo booth and food trucks will set up by the studio entrance.

• The Revival — A Vintage Marketplace promises 100-plus vintage vendors of funky furniture, fashions, architectural salvage and treasures. The names on the vendor list offer a sense of the event's spirit, including Boho Gal, Gathered Comforts, Fragments Reborn, Junque Sisters and Patina and Rust.

Also: free expert-taught seminars, live music and vintage-inspired food.

• The Country Living Fair is one of three national shows, attracting 150-plus vendors from across the country, organized by the home design magazine that moved this year from New York to Birmingham, Ala. The sprawling outdoor marketplace offers a wide range of treasures: shabby chic decor, architectural elements, jewelry and clothing, primitives, garden pieces and folk art and crafts.
