A local restaurant and venue is giving karaoke lovers a chance to prove that they are the best in town.
Venkman's is hosting an eight-week Competitive Karaoke League this summer.
Starting May 5, eight teams will put their karaoke skills to the test at 9 p.m. on Thursdays in three-round competitions.
The audience and celebrity judges will vote each week on winners from the solo, challenge and group rounds before awarding prizes.
Each team is allowed to have between four and eight members. Registration is $25 per person. Guest singers can sign up for one week for $10.
Participants must be at least 21 years old.
During the weekly events, menu and drink specials will be available to help competitors shake off their stage fright before performing.
