After a series of showdowns between producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, Atlanta's own Sean Garrett and The-Dream and then Ne-Yo taking on Atlanta singer-songwriter Johntá Austin, Twitter users have now begun debating the merits of another Atlanta music star.
Usher and Trey Songz have become the newest entertainers who are the topic of discussion on social media.

Fans began chatting about the R&B crooners’ catalogues, each of which span more than a decade. However, Usher has been performing for much longer. His debut album, “Usher” was released in 1994 and he performed on “Star Search” years before making it big. Although Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, is younger, he hasn’t done too bad for himself either.
Since his debut album “I Gotta Make It,” was released in 2005, he’s collaborated with Atlanta’s own 2 Chainz and T.I., as well as Ty Dolla $ign and J. Cole, to name a few. Usher also has collaborations with several of the aforementioned performers under his belt along with Young Thug and Ludacris, two fellow Atlantans.
Both singers have plenty of hits under their belts, too. Usher’s include “Yeah!” “U Make Me Wanna” and “OMG” to name a few while Trey Songz’s notable tunes include “Neighbors Know My Name,” “I Need a Girl” and “Bottoms Up.”
Taking all these things and more into account, fans had plenty to say about why they think Usher or Trey Songz best one another.
Many felt Usher took the cake based on 2004’s “Confessions” album alone.
Usher could literally only play confessions and beat trey songz. Y’all crazy

Others found the comparison simply comical — or even absurd.

Still, some people gave Trey Songz some credit. A few Twitter user sided with the singer completely over Usher.
Usher is the King of R&B of my era, since we can’t acknowledge that other guy who shall not be named BUT... Trey Songz does have a catalog worth mentioning, y’all gotta start listening to more than just the radio lol

Haha sorry!!! I'd have to go with Trey Songz. His music in my opinion transitioned alot better to today's sounds. Where as Usher's did not. I mean tell me a good new song by Usher!
