4 things to do in Atlanta today: free yoga class in Old Fourth Ward

You have survived the first day of the work week and, for that, you should be rewarded.

Whether you’re enjoying spring break with your family or looking for a way to unwind after work, there are plenty of things to do in Atlanta.

Here are our top four picks for April 5:

1. FEATURED

Unwind with a free yoga class today. Presented by King of Pops, the class will take place at 7 p.m. in Old 4th Ward Skate Park. It is open to beginners and experienced participants.

2. FREE

From global warming to gay marriage, Atlanta-based artist Alejandro Aguilera has covered many subjects in his political cartoons. 83 drawings from Aguilera is on display at the Swan Coach House Gallery.

You can see this free exhibit from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

3. FOOD

Enjoy a beer at one of under-the-radar brews in metro Atlanta. Torched Hop Brewing Company just opened in Midtown Atlanta across from Mary Mac's on Ponce de Leon Avenue.

If you’re looking to extend the fun, stay and visit their game room.

Torched Hop Brewing Company is open throughout the week from 4 p.m. – midnight.

4. FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Preschool-aged kids and their adult chaperones can enjoy two hours of playtime in the Plaza at Avalon. This event takes place every Tuesday from 10 a.m. – noon and includes a series of fun kid-friendly activities such as face painting, storytelling and more.
