If you followed our suggestions, we’re sure you had an awesome weekend.

The weekend is not over yet, but as we look forward to the work week ahead, there are still plenty of fun things to do around metro Atlanta.

After you finish celebrating Father’s Day, head to a Kenny Rogers show or revisit the world of Oz.

Here are 5 things to do this week in metro Atlanta:

Cirque du Soleil’s “Toruk”

Based on James Cameron's "Avatar," Cirque du Soleil's 37th production will be in Gwinnett this week. The magical worlds of Cirque and "Avatar" will merge to create a story that is set thousands of years before the story in the blockbuster film.

Read AJC's Melissa Ruggieri's preview of the production here.

If You Go: 7:30 p.m. June 15-17; 4 and 8 p.m. June 18; 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. June 19. $35-$128. Infinite Energy Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 770-626-2464, www.infiniteenergycenter.com.

Celebrate Father’s Day

Don’t stick to your usual Father’s Day gift this year. Get out and explore the city with your dad and the rest of your family.

Whether you're following AJC reporter Jill Vejnoska's ultimate itinerary for metro Atlanta dads, treating your dad to something free or taking Dad somewhere for both food and fun, you'll have plenty of options this Father's Day weekend.

Kenny Rogers

Atlanta resident Kenny Rogers spoke with music reporter Melissa Ruggieri ahead of his home show today (June 19) at Chastain Park Amphitheatre. The 77-year-old Country Music Hall of Fame artist said age plays a major role in his impending retirement.

Before he says farewell to performing, hear songs such as “Lady” and “Coward of the County” while enjoying picnic food and beautiful weather at tonight’s show.

If You Go: 8 p.m. June 19. $30.50-$60.50. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. www.ticketmaster.com.

“Weird Al” Yankovic

It’s been two years since “Weird Al” Yankovic released “Mandatory Fun,” his latest project in a long discography of musical parodies. The Grammy-award winning album featured the hit “Word Crimes.”

If you’re not heading to see Kenny Rogers at Chastain Park Amphitheatre, you can see Yankovic at the Fox Theatre.

If You Go: 7:30 p.m. June 19. $49.50-$79.50. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. N.E., Atlanta. foxtheatre.org.

The Wizard of Oz

Once “Weird Al” Yankovic leaves the stage, the Fox will transform into Oz.

The classic “Wizard of Oz” production will visit the Fox Theatre this week, bringing with it popular characters such as Dorothy and Toto, classic musical hits, and a few life lessons.

If You Go: times vary. June 21-26. $30.00 - $95.00. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree Street NE
