As Kim Kardashian prepares for her walk down the aisle to marry New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries, let's take a look back at some of her most notable exes.

Around five months after they began dating, New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries proposed to Kim Kardashian on camera in her E! reality series. The couple will marry on Saturday, Aug. 20 in what is sure to be a quaint ceremony at the local courthouse. OK, that's not true at all. It's definitely going to be over-the-top -- just like Kim. In honor of the upcoming nuptials, let's take a walk down memory lane and examine the exes who just didn't make the cut.

Saturday's wedding won't be Kim's first trip down the aisle. In 2010 it was revealed that the most famous of the Kardashian klan was married once before to music producer Damon Thomas (that's him on the far left). The couple wed in 2000 and stayed together for four years. After the divorce came out, Kim alleged abuse on Thomas' part, and Thomas alleged fame whoring on Kim's part. At least one of those is probably true.

Among Kim's most surprising exes is former Mr. Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey. The two dated casually when Lachey was newly divorced from Simpson and Kim was just a hairstylist, newly divorced from Thomas.

If we have anyone to thank (or blame) for Kim Kardashian's quasi-celebrity status, it's probably Ray J. The R&B singer, a quasi-celebrity himself, probably more known for being Brandy's brother, dated Kardashian in 2006. A year later, a sex tape of the couple was released, making both a household name. It also made Kim $5 million dollars in a settlement with porn production company Vivid Entertainment.

Before Mariah Carrey, Nick Cannon was sweet on Kim Kardashian. The couple dated post-Ray J and split up after the sex tape was released. Yep, that had to be awkward.

Kim's most public relationship (aside from that infamous video) was with football player Reggie Bush. The couple seemed to always be in some state of turmoil, breaking up and getting back together faster than viewers of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" could keep up with, but they did have some good times, as evidenced by this photo of the couple getting in some Wii time.

Reggie Bush isn't the only football player Kim's dated. The curvy Kardashian also briefly dated Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin.

Kim Kardashian had a few appearances on TV surf drama "Beyond the Break," which starred Michael Copon ("One Tree Hill"). Love must have blossomed on the beach. The two were rumored to have briefly dated last October, just a couple months before she began dating her soon-to-be hubby.

Halle Berry's ex Gabriel Aubry went on a few dates with Kim last year, just before she met Humphries.

On Saturday, Kim will be wearing another white dress as she weds Kris Humphries.
