Claudia Stucke, a former high school English teacher who lives in Decatur, finished second Thursday night on
“Jeopardy!”
Stucke, a two-day ‘Jeopardy’ champion, won $4,999 in the Thursday night episode, lifting her total winnings to $35,599.
The final ‘Jeopardy!’ clue Thursday night: In 1872, he wrote his thesis “Diseases of the Teeth” & soon after moved west to a drier climate for his health. Stucke incorrectly answered Colgate. The correct answer was: Who is “Doc” Holliday?
Stucke was one of two residents from Decatur on ‘Jeopardy!’ in the same week. Fellow Decatur resident, Steve Stoffle, a leadership trainer finished first in last Friday’s episode, winning $17,599. He came in second Monday night.
“It is something on the bucket list,” she said. “It was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice.”
Stucke said she doesn’t consider herself a competitive person, just someone who happens to know a lot — about many subjects.
