The weekend is over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.

Here are five ways to have fun throughout metro Atlanta this week:

Attend a jazz show

You don’t have to wait until the Atlanta Jazz Festival to hear live music. The “31 Days of Jazz” will bring jazz music throughout metro Atlanta, including Hartsfield-Jackson, Venkman’s and more.

No matter which day you’re looking to attend a show this week, you’ll be able to hear some good jazz music.

Enjoy Atlanta’s best taco

Shake off your workweek blues by enjoying a taco at one of their various locations around metro Atlanta.

Holocaust Remembrance Day commemoration

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) ceremony will feature a presentation from Rabbi Joseph Polak, author of “After the Holocaust the Bells Still Ring.”

The book looks at the lives of Polak, a concentration camp survivor, and his mother.

If You Go: 3:30 p.m. May 8. Free. Besser Holocaust Memorial Garden, Marcus Jewish Community Center, 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody. atlantajcc.org/events/2016.

Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams

Gospel artists Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams will perform at the Fox Theatre as a part of the venue's 10th annual Mother's Day celebration show.

Both singers are known for creating a palpable atmosphere of worship at their live shows through popular songs such as “Wanna Be Happy” (Franklin) and “Victory” (Adams).

If You Go: 6 p.m. May 8. $35-$90. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St., Atlanta.Foxtheatre.org.

Taste of Alpharetta

The 26th annual Taste of Alpharetta will once again fill the streets of downtown Alpharetta with thousands of people looking to get a snapshot of the local dining scene.

Enjoy lobster rolls or chargrilled oysters from Atlantic Seafood Company, or taste tortellini or meatballs from La Casa Italian Grill during the five-hour event. About 50 restaurants are expected to participate in this year’s festival.

5-10 p.m. May 12. Free admission; $5, 10 food and activity tickets; 50 cents-$3, food samples. Milton Avenue and Roswell Street, Alpharetta.Awesomealpharetta.com.
