Reuben dog (from left), chicken-apple dog, tuscan dog, Kenturkey dog and Merquez dog at HD1 in Atlanta. John Kessler writes, "When you order a hot dog, are you the lone-wiggle-of-mustard kind of garnisher or more of a chili-cheese-slaw-Russian-dressing sort? If you're the latter, then prepare to have a blast exploring the menu at HD1, where the dogs come piled to nose-engulfing heights with garnishes you would never have before imagined." Two stars.

Hanger Steak with smashed and fried potatoes and creamed collards at Chicken and the Egg in Marietta. "(Chef Marc) Taft cooks with real care; when he finds a stronger vein of passion, this Chicken will be worth crossing the road and the city for." Two stars.

The The Double D Slider -- Chicken sausage patties, grilled Krispy Kreme donuts and cherry cream cheese at Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand in Atlanta. Jon Watson writes, "Those who don't enjoy the herb-heavy flavors of the sausage will find their options are scarce. But if you want something a little different, and a little healthy, Delia's is worth stopping by." Two stars.

The King Platter -- brisket with natural jus, roasted root vegetables and couscous -- at Ten Bistro in Norcross. Jenny Turknett writes, "The kitchen seems to have a fittingly laid-back approach, resulting in a few missteps along the way...perhaps after a little more time for exploration, they can work it out." One star.

Crispy chili baby corn at Inchin's Bamboo Garden in Alpharetta. John Kessler writes, " It's an Indian Chinese restaurant. Yes, you read that right: Indian Chinese, as in the kind of Chinese food you'd find in India." Two stars.

Banana peanut butter cream pie (center), cream cheese creme brulee, carrot cake and candied pecans. dark chocolate cupcake with ganache glaze and crunchy chocolate pearls and pumpkin souffle cheese cake with marshmallow creme at Rathbun's in Atlanta. John Kessler calls it "a special place that still defines one kind of greatness in Atlanta." Four stars.

Pork baby back ribs, Texas toast, mac and cheese and baked beans at Grand Champion BBQ in Roswell. Jon Watson writes, "For being in business only a few months, it is clear that Grand Champion is well ahead of the curve." Two stars.

The Salsiccia e broccoli pie with san marzano tomato, mozzarella, local sausage and broccoli rabe from Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs. John Kessler writes, " It isn't exactly an Italian restaurant...but it nonetheless serves as a decent neighborhood spot for assorted comestibles that reference Italy with good cheer, if sometimes too much razzamatazz." Two stars.

Iron skillet-fried half chicken with bacon braised collard greens and sweet corn pudding in mushroom-herb broth from Wisteria in Atlanta. Jenny Turknett says, "Wisteria has blossomed into a treasured component of our culinary landscape." Three stars.

The fried shrimp taco with pickled Jalapeno from Escorpion in Atlanta. It's a restaurant, John Kessler writes, that's "taking its good time growing up." One star.

Tomato slices with melted havarti cheese at Nine Street Kitchen in Roswell, a place where "you may not find anything risky or refined, but sometimes simple pleasures are the most satisfying," writes Jenny Turknett. One star.

The bolinho de apim con carne -- yucca fritters, ground beef and sweet malagueta pepper sauce -- at Botekim Brazilian Bistro in Marietta. John Kessler calls it, "a sweet surprise in east Cobb County's burgeoning Little Brazil." Two stars.

Falafel sandwich wrapped in lavosh bread at Mediterranean Bakery and Sandwich in Atlanta. "The falafel recipe may not be a special, but it tastes pretty good to me," Gene Lee writes.

The farmer's market vegetable plate -- including summer corn, tomato tapenade, grilled ponzu tofu and toasted almond tabboule -- at Seasons 52 in Dunwoody, a health-conscious spot John Kessler cites as having "mostly lackluster food, clumsy service, moderately high prices." One star.

The Chorizo Sunrise Pizza -- chorizo sausage, broken yolk egg, Mexican crema, pizza cheese blend, salsa picante and chopped cilantro -- at Hearth Pizza Tavern in Sandy Springs, a spot, Jon Watson writes, that "deserves its slice of attention." Three stars.

Beignets with pecan praline sauce at The Beignet Connection in Atlanta, owned by the owner of now-closed Atlanta spot Huey's. "Attempting to duplicate the menu and theme of another restaurant seems to hamper this one from developing its own personality," Jenny Turknett writes. One star.

The delmonico ribeye with chapeau of marrow and shallot butter and classic creamed spinach at Viande Rouge Steakhouse in Johns Creek. "The Franco-American fantasy world of Viande Rouge always leaves me with a smile," John Kessler writes. Three stars.

Ceviche de Camaron -- shrimp marinated in lemon juice -- from Sabor Inka in Lawrenceville. Despite minor issues, Gene Lee writes, the restaurant is "off to a good start with many diverse dishes to choose from in a warm, family-friendly environment." Two stars.
