he prodigious writer, singer, songwriter Niles Rogers and Chic opened for the Duran Duran Paper Gods tour Friday at the Philips Arena. Founder of the popular disco era group Chic, Rogers found more success in collaboration as producer and performer with many artists including Duran Duran, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Tina Arena, David Bowie, Madonna, INXS, Britney Spears and more recently, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Avicii, Disclosure, Sam Smith, Pitbull, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, Nervo and Laura Mvula.
