Before the world watched each other "Whip" and "Nae Nae," they heard "Whip My Hair" thanks to Willow Smith.

The daughter of rapper-turned-actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith, has surprised fans with her debut album "Ardipithecus."

The album quickly made Willow Smith a trending topic on social media.

The odd album name came from "Ardipithecus Ramidus," the scientific name of the first hominid bones found, Smith told USA Today.

Recently, Smith had been tweeting Dec. 11, but with no explanation as to what it meant.

"Ardipithecus'" 15 tracks were on both iTunes and Spotify.

Willow wrote and self-produced the album while collaborating with her older brother Trey and her friend JABS, Vulture reported.

Prior to Friday's full-album release, Smith had only released singles like 2011's "Whip My Hair."
