A primer of the best bets among the musicians coming to Atlanta in the next few months.

So many Atlanta concerts, so little time. Here are some of the best bets in Atlanta for all your musical tastes and occasions. -- Reporting by Shane Harrison

Toughest ticket: The Eagles and James Taylor have added enough shows to keep most of the customers satisfied, and it's tempting to call it a split decision between the perennially popular Jimmy Buffett and Radiohead. But we think the much-anticipated, stars-aligned pairing of Led Zeppelin's ROBERT PLANT and ALISON KRAUSS takes the honor. July 10 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

Most seasoned veteran: Through our highly unscientific survey, we're betting on FRANKIE VALLI as the oldest to perform this summer. At 74, he has a few years on 71-year-old blues legend Buddy Guy. June 18 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

Bring out the earplugs: The Warped Tour. Punk rock's touring summer camp is a day full of earsplitting fun with Reel Big Fish, RELIENT K and Gym Class Heroes, among many others. July 9 at Lakewood Amphitheatre.

First date: The classy yet sensual sound of JILL SCOTT should set the perfect mood for debut dating bliss. July 30 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

Last date: Trying to ditch someone? Take them to see MICHAEL BOLTON, and your problems are solved. July 19 at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre.

Take your mom: The elegant EMMYLOU HARRIS has a timeless quality that crosses all generations. June 27 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

Stuck in 1985: The "Regeneration" tour. Take another ride on the new wave with the Human League, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS and Naked Eyes. Aug. 29 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

For the snob with a secret love of old-school progressive metal: There's just something about Canadian power trio RUSH that brings out the teenage music geek in the snobbiest indie-rock aficionado. July 22 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park.

For the social and political activist: The INDIGO GIRLS have always been vocal supporters of social, environmental and political causes -- and they've created an impressive catalog of beautiful music, too. Sept. 13 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

If you'd rather be on a beach: No matter what he's singing about, it seems that everything JACK JOHNSON does is infused with sand and surf. Aug. 13 at Lakewood Amphitheatre.
