Britney's 'Circus' revisits Atlanta

BRITNEY SPEARS made a return engagement to Atlanta for her 'Circus' tour.

SPEARS PLAYED to a near sold-out crowd at Philips Arena.

SPEARS APPEARED here as recently as March. She must love Atlanta's Southern hospitality!

THE NAME of the tour is 'The Circus Starring: Britney Spears,' and it supports her latest album, which was released last November.

SPEARS' CAST includes dancers, clowns and acrobats.

AFTER ATLANTA, the tour moves on to Greensboro, N.C., and into the Midwest.

BRITNEY SPEARS made her solo debut 10 years ago, when she was 17.

TODAY SHE has six albums, a doll, fragrances, and books to her credit. She's also a mother of two.

CIRCUS IS one of the top-grossing tours of 2009, with a multimillion-dollar stage, video components and a cast of 50 dancers and performers.

OF COURSE Spears is still the star of the show.

JORDIN SPARKS was one of the opening acts.

SPARKS WON 'American Idol' in 2007 and has released two albums.

ONE CALL, another opening act, is a 'boy band' featuring members of the 'new' Menudo and other groups.

KRISTINIA DEBARGE of the singing DeBarge family (of '80s fame) performed as one of the opening acts.

THE BIG Apple Circus is part of Spears' stage show.

THE CIRCUS, based in New York, has toured with her in Europe and North America.

THE CROWD approached near-capacity at Philips Arena.
