The Liam Neeson thriller "Taken 3" has been filming in Midtown this week. We hear the suave star has been a delight to work with, not surprising given the humble note he struck in an interview about the upcoming three-quel.
“I really thought it would be kind of a little side road from my so-called career,” he told GQ. “Really thought it would go straight to video. But it just got great word of mouth. I was stunned.”
Shaggy extras needed
"Divergent" sequel "Insurgent" is going to be filming in Atlanta and needs lots of extras. The movie stars Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller — who appeared in last year's indie charmer "The Spectacular Now," filmed in Athens and directed by Athens native James Ponsoldt — along with Kate Winslet, Theo James and others.
Casting folks are “looking for in-shape, preferably tan, males and females, ages 29 to 60s, who look like they are ‘natural.’” You need to look a little scruffy. Think shaggy hair. Not too terribly long, but it should look like you and your barber are totally on a break. Any ethnicity is fine, but if you’re Caucasian, you can’t be too pale. These folks will play characters who spend a lot of time outdoors.
The job would be from May 27-30, possibly longer. If your shaggy self is interested, email photos and your height, weight, age and phone number to Mineral.Peaceful@gmail.com with “Long hair, don’t care” in the subject line.
Diddy spotted in Atlanta, asks for prayer
Sean "Diddy" Combs dined at 10 Degrees South in Atlanta on Saturday night.
He posed for a nice photo with owner Derek Anthony after enjoying a feast of lollipop lamb chops, chicken curry and grilled prawns. (We're thinking he might have been in town for the CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival.)
We’re sorry to report that Combs is mourning the loss of someone dear to him these days.
"Everyone please say a prayer for my family," he posted on Instagram the other day. "Sarah Porter, the grandmother of my children and the mother of (Kim Porter), has passed on. She was the nicest person I have ever met, had a heart of gold, and truly a great grandmother."
Our condolences.
