Actress Scarlett Johansson receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles,

Star No. 2,470 in the motion picture category on the Hollywood Walk of Fame went to starlet Scarlett Johansson Wednesday in front of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum on Hollywood's famed Boulevard.

Scarlett Johansson's co-star in "The Avengers," Jeremy Renner, served as speaker. Renner joked that during filming Johansson "beat me, stepped on me and wiped the floor with my dignity and self-respect every day - all with a smile on her face. Now, finally, I get to step on you, sweetheart."

Scarlett Johansson began her movie career as a child actor. She has starred in more than 30 films, including "The Horse Whisperer," "Lost in Translation," and "Iron Man 2."

Scarlett Johansson called the achievement "a wonderful tradition" and a milestone in her movie career.
