Lucas Till, an 18-year-old graduate of Kell High School in Marietta, is about to be seen by millions of tweens as Miley Cyrus' love interest in "Hannah Montana: The Movie."

Six months removed from Atlanta and now a Los Angeles resident, Lucas is single -- for now. "Hopefully," he said with a chuckle, "not for long."

Lucas on his familiarity with "Hannah Montana" before getting the part: "I'd see my younger brother watching the show. It wasn't my demographic. I thought it was funny. I've only seen one full episode. I didn't get too deep. I was already intimidated going into a movie like this."

Lucas on Miley Cyrus: "It was awesome to get to know her. She's one of my sweetest friends. If I wasn't friends with her, I'd be missing out."

Lucas appeared with Emily Osment at Planet Hollywood to promote the new movie in New York, on April 7.

"Hannah Montana: The Movie" opens Friday, April 10.
