We’re halfway through this work week and you may be wondering how to get out of the house and have some fun before the weekend arrives.
We have a few ideas.
From a meet and greet with HGTV’s Property Brothers to all-you-can-eat oysters at an Avalon restaurant, here are four things to do in Atlanta today (April 12).
1. FREE
Listen to live jazz music every Wednesday at the Lumen Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. There is no cover charge.
The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta is located at 181 Peachtree St., Atlanta.
2. FEATURED
HGTV viewers' favorite identical twins will be in Atlanta Today. "Property Brothers" Jonathan and Drew Scott will participate in a meet and greet for their new book "Dream Home: The Property Brothers' Ultimate Guide to Finding & Fixing Your Perfect House" from 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta in Dunwoody.
“A lot of houses you’ll see in the book we’ve never had on our shows,” he said. “We show different designs and designers. We offer ways to solve common problems and even a calendar to buy the right items at the right price.”
Tickets for the book signing are $10 for members and $15 for the public.
They can be purchased here or at the door.
NOTE: There will only be a photo line at this event, not a signing line. You must have a copy of the Property Brothers’ book in order to have your photo taken with the brothers. Pre-signed books are available for purchase on the night of the event.
3. FOOD
Head to Avalon to enjoy a Patio Oyster Roast at Oak Steakhouse from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Enjoy $15 all-you-can-eat oysters, $5 draft beer and a performance from Brennan Johnson.
Complimentary valet will be available.
4. FAMILY-FRIENDLY
