The soul-pop songstress says she’s managed to incorporate her “baby” — a piano — into an arena-worthy spectacle that doesn’t lose sight of the music. Growing up in New York, Keys spent plenty of time at concerts at Madison Square Garden and remembers thinking, after seeing Wu-Tang Clan hype up the crowd during their show, “That’s gonna be me (onstage) one of these days.”

Dr. John and the Nite Trippers
In 2011, the good doctor of N’awlins jazz-pop-zydeco-swing opened for Cyndi Lauper at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and brought with him a festively decorated walking stick and an ace trombonist. At 72, he’s still a nimble pianist and fans can expect to hear selections from last year’s well-received “Locked Down” album — a collaboration with the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach — as well as favorites such as “Right Place, Wrong Time.”

Michelle Malone
The Atlanta mainstay quietly has released her latest album, “Day 2” — produced by Shawn Mullins and featuring Chuck Leavell — and is making it available at her live shows and website (www.michellemalone.com). Her trademark gutsy blues-rock is complemented by songs such as the searing, contemplative title track. She’ll celebrate with two full band shows at one of her favorite venues.

Brit Floyd
There is no shortage of acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute acts. This one, which played its first show in Liverpool, England, in 2011, promises a three-hour event featuring note-for-note performances of full album sides from Floyd classics “The Dark Side of the Moon,” “Wish You Were Here,” “The Wall,” “The Division Bell” and “Animals.” The band is on a three-month tour of the U.S.

THURSDAY
Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell
It took the longtime friends nearly 30 years to work together again after Crowell played in Harris’ Hot Band in 1975. The resulting collaboration, “Old Yellow Moon,” serves the dual purpose of thrilling fans of both performers and allowing Harris to “cross (a joint album) off my bucket list!” The Richard Thompson Electric Trio — fronted by ace guitarist Thompson — will add to the meaty musical offering.
