FRIDAY
Tea Leaf Green
These San Francisco jammers have been road warriors for 15 years and built a loyal fan base — not only with grass-roots touring efforts, but by engaging with fans through free music giveaways on their website. Their latest album, “In the Wake,” arrived in May and features appearances by musicians Dan Lebowitz and Leslie Helpert, as well as the Jazz Mafia Horns.
With Thomas Wynn & the Believers. 9 p.m. Nov. 15. $15. Terminal West, 887 W. Marietta St. N.W., Atlanta. 404-876-5566.
SATURDAY
Celtic Thunder
Take a group of handsome Irishmen, put them in suits, unleash their vocal prowess and you have a recipe for major success — and some highly regarded PBS specials. The sextet, which performs as soloists and as an ensemble, is backed by the Celtic Thunder Band and prides itself on shows that highlight elaborate lighting and choreography. The group has released an impressive nine albums since the original outfit formed in 2007.
7:30 p.m. Nov. 16. $64.65-$91.25. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. N.E., Atlanta. 1-855-285-8499.
Elton John
As evidenced by his music-centric — as opposed to production-centric — shows in Las Vegas, John has recaptured a soulfulness that harks back to his earliest days as a musician. Yes, his concerts still include a generous supply of his myriad hits, but he’ll also break out some of the stirring, organic tunes from “The Diving Board,” his recently released 31st album — and one of the best of the year.
8 p.m. Nov. 16. $45-$165. Philips Arena, 1 Philips Drive, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.
SUNDAY
Rickie Lee Jones
The idiosyncratic vocalist hasn’t been on the charts since 1979’s “Chuck E.’s in Love,” a hit from her self-titled debut, but she’s retained a following among those who appreciate her versatility. Ably shifting from folk to pop to jazz, and even dabbling in standards (2000’s “Like This”), Jones returned last year with the covers album “Devil You Know,” produced by Ben Harper.
8 p.m. Nov. 17. $30 (advance) and $32.50 (at the door). Variety Playhouse, 1099 Euclid Ave. N.E., Atlanta. 404-524-7354.
MONDAY
Tony Lucca
Fans of “The Voice” might remember him from the second season of the show. Others might recall his super-early days as a member of “The Mickey Mouse Club.” But Lucca, 37, has been a troubadour for more than a decade, having released several folk-rock albums. This summer he unveiled the six-song EP “With the Whole World Watching,” and is fresh from a tour supporting Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5.
With Vicci Martinez and Brendan James. 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. $16 (in advance), $20 (at the door), $80 (reserved table of four). Eddie’s Attic, 515-B N. McDonough St., Decatur. 1-877-725-8849.
WEDNESDAY
Rick Ross
In preparation for the Dec. 17 release of his new album, “Mastermind,” Ross is doing a quick eight-city tour. The hip-hop superman — whose latest single, “No Games,” features Atlanta rapper Future — is performing with the 1500 or Nothin’ Band, a five-piece outfit known for its work with Snoop Dogg, T.I. and Lupe Fiasco.
8 p.m. Nov. 20. $55.70-$88.75. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. N.E., Atlanta. 1-855-285-8499.
