Krog Street Market, the reconfiguration of Tyler Perry’s old Inman Park studio, just took a major step toward opening with the announcement this week of seven signed tenants. Of them, five will be restaurants and food vendors that will help the market realize its ambition to become a destination for gastronomically minded Atlantans, akin to the Ferry Building in San Francisco. The market hopes to eventually count about two dozen food stalls among its offerings.

Here are the five that have committed:

NEW RESTAURANT FROM CHEFS FORD FRY AND KEVIN MAXEY

Concept: Mex-Tex inspired restaurant with a casual and lively atmosphere influenced by Fry's Texan roots.

Stats: 5,100-square-foot restaurant with outdoor/covered patio.

THE LUMINARY FROM CHEF ELI KIRSHTEIN:

Concept: An American-Brasserie with regionalized and updated bistro fare from the "Top Chef" contestant.

Stats: 3,400 square foot restaurant with outdoor/covered patio.

THE SPOTTED TROTTER:

Concept: Full American Butchery, Charcuterie & Cheese Shop.

Stats: 800 square foot market tenant.

GRAND CHAMPION BBQ

Concept: Award-winning barbeque experience.

Stats: 800 square-foot.

PANNUS BAKERY

Concept: International Bakery specializing in Hispanic and European pastries, baked goods and gourmet products.

Stats: 400 sqaure foot
