Kendrick Lamar: 10 concerts to attend in July in Atlanta

Waiting to purchase concert tickets for popular shows is always risky. Every month some of the biggest names in popular music visit Atlanta for highly-anticipated concerts. Some of them sell out soon after they’re announced, but in other instances a few tickets are available even weeks before the show.

Here are 10 can’t-miss July concerts that still have tickets for sale:

Brantley Gilbert

Georgia native Brantley Gilbert is known for writing and singing some of the most popular songs in country music over the last decade. He’ll play a show at Verizon Amphitheatre in support of his latest album “The Devil Don’t Sleep” in July.

Sam Hunt

As Sam Hunt's "Body Like A Back Road" celebrates its 20th week atop Billboard's Hot Country Song Chart, the country singer breaks the previous record set by Leroy Van Dyke's "Walk on By" in the '60s to become the "longest command by a solo artist on the nearly 59-year-old Hot Country Songs chart." He'll perform the hit song, among others at Verizon Amphitheatre this summer.

New Kids on the Block

‘80s and ‘90s pop and R&B fans should head to Duluth in July to watch New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men perform their hits.

Jennifer Nettles

Georgia native and Sugarland frontwoman Jennifer Nettles will perform at the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Gainesville location during their summer concert series. Nettles released her sophomore solo album, “Playing with Fire” in 2016.

Kendrick Lamar

Expect an energetic show when Kendrick Lamar’s “The Damn. Tour” visits Duluth. Travis Scott and D.R.A.M. will serve as opening acts.

We’re expecting this to be one of the best shows of the year for hip-hop fans.

Charlie Wilson

Charlie Wilson is sure to put on one of the best R&B shows of the summer when he visits Chastain Park Amphitheatre to perform songs such as “Yearning for Your Love” on July 21.

Meek Mill 

Philly rapper Meek Mill will bring his energetic setlist to Lakewood Amphitheatre on July 21. The rapper is planning to release his third studio album later this year.

Idina Menzel

Expect to hear original songs, as well as music from “Rent” and Disney’s “Frozen,” when Idina Menzel performs at the Fox Theatre during her world tour.

Logic 

Following the release of his third studio album, “Everybody,” Logic will perform at Cobb County’s newest venue, Coca-Cola Roxy.

BJ The Chicago Kid
