Essence magazine announced its first summit teaming with the New Voices Foundation and Target Holiday market.

Essence + New Voices Entrepreneur Summit and Target Holiday Market will be held at West End Production Park on Dec. 13-15, and its guest list is just as long as its name.

Among the stars attending are the city’s own Jermaine Dupri, T.I., Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and The Gathering Spot founder TK Petersen. They’ll be joined by Queen Latifah, celebrity hairstylist Kim Kimble and social media star/comedian Pretty Vee.

The interactive event is aimed at supporting more economic opportunities for black-owned businesses.

The summit pairs the black women’s magazine with New Voices, a $100 million fund which aims to support entrepreneurial women of color to reach their full business potential.

As attendees at the summit watch masterclasses, fireside chats and panel discussions from those in entertainment, health, beauty, fashion and wellness industries, they’ll also compete.

Essence, New Ventures and Target Holiday Market are partnering to host the New Voices Pitch Competition Saturday, Dec. 14. Qualifying businesses must apply by midnight on Dec. 2 to be considered.
