The approaching fall season means the release of a slate of anticipated films — potential award-winners, conclusions to popular franchies — several of which shot in metro Atlanta, as part of the city's ongoing production boom.
Here's a look at each, in order of their debuts, from now through January.
"Goosebumps" (Oct. 16)

This big-screen adaptation of R.L. Stine's perennially popular series of ghoulish children's books stars Jack Black as the author himself who, "Jumanji"-style, becomes trapped in an adventure straight out of his imagination.
Viewers will recognize the Zoo Atlanta carousel and the Madison courthouse in Morgan County, and may recognize the Decatur and Inman Park areas, all of which hosted the production during its 2014 shoot.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2" (Nov. 20)

The four-part franchise, starring Jennifer Lawrence, has been filming in Atlanta since 2012; and its installments have featured such local landmarks as the Bellwood Quarry, the Marriott Marquis and the Swan House.
The latter returns again in this conclusion to the dystopic series.
"The 5th Wave" (Jan. 15)

Chloë Grace Moretz stars in this adaptation of the book series by the same name, which follows a teenage girl trying to survive as aliens invade.
It filmed in Kennesaw and, reportedly, around Emory and Druid Hills, among others, during its 2014 shoot.
"Ride Along 2" (Jan. 15)

This sequel to the 2014 comedy hit again reteams Ice Cube and Kevin Hart and its 2014 production was based in Atlanta, with a sojourn south to Miami.
At one point, it turned the second floor of the state Capitol rotunda into a night club (with liquor bottles, mood lighting, the works); and among other locations, also filmed in Decatur.
"Dirty Grandpa" (Jan. 22)
This Zac Efron/Robert De Niro comedy shot around Georgia earlier this year — in Atlanta, both ITP and OTP, and Tybee Island (for a spring break sequence).
If you absolutely cannot resist, here are photos of both actors topless.
