This week is the perfect week to get out and explore what downtown Atlanta has to offer.
Enjoy food from a local food truck or dine at a local restaurant as a part of Downtown Restaurant Week before heading to a concert or to watch a movie with loved ones.
Here are our top picks for things to do in Atlanta this week:
Food trucks
Looking to do something different for lunch this week? Grab a meal from a local food truck!
Up to five food trucks will be in Colony Square’s Plaza for “Food Truck Wednesday” from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. each week.
If Wednesdays don't work, or if you just really love food trucks, head to Midtown's Woodruff Arts Center where food trucks will gather every Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Callaway Plaza on the corner of Peachtree & 15th.
Three to six food trucks will gather in this area each week until October.
Up to eight food trucks will also gather at the Broad Street Plaza of Five Points MARTA station from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Fridays. Special performances may also occur at this location each week.
More than 35 downtown restaurants will offer prix-fixe menus for $15, $25 and/or $35 starting July 23 through the end of the month. JP Atlanta, Legal Sea Foods, Fire of Brazil, No Mas! Cantina, McCormick & Schmidt's are among the list of participating restaurants this year.
