My Jazzy Valentine at Aurora Theatre
Don’t put away the roses quite yet. Aurora’s Swing Night returns this time with a Valentine’s Day theme. The 17-piece Metro Jazz Club band will be attempting to get hearts thumping with its big band style. Aurora’s own Ann-Carol Pence serves as hostess, while saxophonist Gary Dalton wrangles the band. Vocals come courtesy of Sinatra spawn Jason Joines and chanteuse Amanda Richards. Liberty Cogen, fresh off the road from “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” provides guest vocals. A Valentine bouquet from Huffs Flowers ($35) or custom Valentine charms from Sparkle! Designs ($15-$28) can be added when ordering tickets.

“Bedside Manners” at The Art Place Mountain View
Ferris decides to watch his sister’s dive of a hotel in the English countryside while she takes off on holiday. Meanwhile, two couples slip away and seek refuge in the hotel for some forbidden action, and wackiness ensues. That’s the premise of “Bedside Manners,” Derek Benfield’s British marital farce. The Feb. 21 and 22 performances feature the added attraction of coffee and dessert included with admission. A special dinner show takes place Feb. 23. The meal begins at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ken Cowan at Spivey Hall at Clayton State University
As far as young organists go, Ken Cowan is one of those at the top of the scale. Whether you’re a fan of one of his acclaimed discs or simply appreciate concert organists, you may watch in awe as the Canadian-born Cowan spotlights his skill. The program includes some Bach, a little Reger and a Laurin composition. Although you may have a budding organ fan in the house, children younger than 12 aren’t allowed.
