Fashion meets hip-hop at Hot on the Runway

Ashanti, Young Jeezy and Mario performed at Hot 107.9's Hot on the Runway Fashion Show and After Party.

Ashanti was among the artists to hit the stage at Hot On The Runway: Where Hip Hop Meets Fashion. The event had a fashion show, live performances and an after party.

People packed Compound nightclub, where the event was held.

Staff members and volunteers from Planned Parenthood of Georgia were on hand to distribute free Proper Attire condoms to women, calling them the "must-have" accessories for the ladies.

Griff, Emperor Searcy and Rashan Ali of Hot 107.9 FM kick things off. The radio station sponsored the event.

The radio station did a model search for the show in March at Greenbriar Mall.

Models showed clothes by Apple Bottoms, Sean John, DTLR, Shady, Swagger, Mecca Femme, Roca Wear and others.

Shoes were strewn everywhere in the dressing areas.

With temperatures heating up, the models also showed swimwear.

JC (aka Justin Crowder) breaks it down for the crowd. The Nashville native is working on his debut, "Voicemail," due in October.

Yung Berg and Ray J perform "Sexy Can I," which describes a woman with "Gucci on her feet, Marc Jacobs on her thigh."

Ray Lavender woos the women in the crowd as he sings "Stay."

Rocko sings "Umma Do Me."

Young Jeezy and Blood Raw have collaborated on several songs, including "Louie Bag," an appropriate tune for the fashion show.

Atlanta's Young Jeezy has been busy promoting artists on his label, Corporate Thug Entertainment.

Mario took a break from "Dancing With the Stars" practice for to come to ATL for the party. He performed "Music for Love."

Later, Mario brought a lucky fan on stage during "Let Me Love You."

Andelecia Heats holds a $5,000 purse she won in a drawing. Ashanti (left), who donated the purse, and 107.9's Rashan Ali congratulated the big winner.

Yung Berg offers Patron -- that's tequila to the uninitiated -- to the ladies.
