Thursday is National Coffee Day, a milestone that takes on extra significance at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. After all, Thursday's the traditional getaway day for folks looking to get a jump on weekend travel or end business trips a smidge early. When the World's Busiest Airport gets even busier, a comforting cup of Joe can feel like the perfect prescription for avoiding Traveler's Angst.
Maybe that's why this summer's announcement about the imminent closing of a popular Starbucks in the domestic terminal was greeted with such despair. This despite the fact that there are nearly 30 other places to get coffee at the airport, including four in the atrium area before you have to go through security.
We rounded them all up for you back in July. Here's that list again, in case you're traveling in the near future. Or maybe you just want to go out to the airport and celebrate National Coffee Day with thousands of your closest latte-loving friends. No judgment!
