The Masters Golf Tournament is the ultimate trip for golf lovers, but it's become something of a destination of late for foodies, too. The pimento cheese sandwich offered during the annual event held in April was named a top sandwich to eat before you die, some big name Atlanta chefs have lended their talents to special Masters week dinners and several appetizing spots have popped up in August, where the Masters is held.
If you've always wanted a taste of the Masters but can't make the trek to Augusta, consider making a stop in Marietta instead. Common Quarter, at 1205 Johnson Ferry Rd., is hosting a three-course Masters Dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 6.
The menu, created by executive chef Jeffrey Gardner, is inspired by past champion dinner menus and features classics including pimento cheese toasts and Texas BBQ brisket. The night begins with Drunk Palmer cocktails created by beverage director Lindsay Ferdinand, and a players pool selection to benefit The Giving Kitchen kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, which cost $55 plus tax and gratuity, can be puchased here.
