Dogwood Festival returns to Piedmont Park

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival returned to Piedmont Park on Saturday after the drought forced it to the parking lot at Lenox Square last year.

James Farquharson, 35, carries his 2-year-old son Alex past oversized iron flowers. Farquharson, of Decatur, said he was glad the event returned to Piedmont Park.

The 73rd annual event will be open until 7 p.m. on Sunday. Here, Melanie Manning tries on a dress.
