Chef Landon Thompson, of Cooks & Soldiers, is a James Beard Award semifinalist for Rising Star Chef of the Year. This Westside hot spot serves up traditional food from the Basque country of Spain, crafted cocktails and "that familiar warmth" of the other Castellucci Hospitality Group's restaurants, which include Decatur's Iberian Pig, Double Zero Napoletana in Sandy Springs and Sugo.
AJC's John Kessler gave Cooks & Soldiers 2 stars (very good), and said its efforts pay "real respect to both the traditions and new culinary directions of this gastronomic mecca."
