Ponce City Market restaurants
Last week, Jamestown Properties announced the first wave of restaurants to open in Ponce City Market, the huge new mixed-use development in the historic Sears, Roebuck & Co. building on Ponce de Leon Avenue. Among the big local names to look for in the Central Food Hall beginning this fall, Dub's Fish Camp from chef Anne Quatrano of Bacchanalia and H&F Burger from chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene. Ocean Market opens downtown
On Monday, chef Shane McIntosh, executive chef and owner of Ocean Catering Co., debuted Ocean Market. The new lunch concept is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays- Fridays offering reasonably priced fare available for dine-in or takeout. Look for salads, soups, deli and panini-style sandwiches and crepes, with plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. Drinks include Pellegrino sparkling lemonades, craft root beers, ginger beer and bottled white teas. Inman Park Restaurant Week
The spring session of Inman Park Restaurant Week 2014 runs March 17-23 with more than a dozen neighborhood favorites offering a variety of three-course prix fixe menus priced at $15, $25 and $35 per person. Sweetwater debuts 420 in cans
Strange as it seems, aluminum cans have become a popular craft beer delivery system. Even many fine-dining restaurants such as Empire State South are offering cans with specially designed koozies. Now Georgia's biggest craft brewer, Sweetwater, has finally released its top-selling 420 Extra Pale in cans, soon to be followed by its popular IPA.
